Al-Kut The Spanish Ambassador to Iraq, “Pedro Martinez”, visited Wasit Governorate and met with its governor, Muhammad Jamil Al-Mayahi, to discuss joint cooperation in many files in the areas of industry, investment and construction.
Al-Mayahi told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that we sought with the Spanish Ambassador to enter the Spanish companies to contribute to the development of the province in various sectors, and among the most prominent projects that we worked on is the establishment of a railway linking the Zurbatiya border crossing and the holy Karbala, passing through the city of Kut within a railway network linking Wasit with Baghdad, Karbala and other provinces.
Our research also added investment in the field of establishing factories in the fields of agricultural and oil industries, manufacturing industries, investment in the fields of renewable energy, housing and health sectors, as well as the file of developing road networks, land transport, as well as water treatment.
