President of the International Union of Modern Pentathlon (UIPM) Klaus Schormann thanked the Egyptian Modern Pentathlon Federation, under Sharif el Erian, the Egyptian Olympic Committee, the Egyptian government and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport (AASTMT) for hosting the UIPM Pentathlon Senior World Championships until July 31.
He expressed deep appreciation for the efforts exerted by Youth and Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhi and AASTMT President Ismail Abdel Ghaffar for hosting the championships.
In press statements on Wednesday, he highlighted the success of the last year’s championship that was held in Alexandria.
He noted that the UIPM joins the AASTMT’s celebration on its 50th anniversary.
