Britain’s immigration minister received a six-month driving ban and a fine after he was found speeding on a motorway last year, according to media reports Tuesday.

Robert Jenrick received his ruling after he broke a temporary motorway speed limit by 45 kph (28 mph) on the M1 in Nottinghamshire last August.

Jenrick who has been the head of immigration since Oct. 25, 2022, was also fined £1,639 ($2,000), said media reports.

He is a Conservative Member of Parliament for Newark, Nottinghamshire.
