The Israeli occupation authorities today closed the Ibrahimi Mosque in the southern West Bank city of Hebron for the Muslim worshippers under the pretext of the Jewish holidays while opening it only for Jewish prayers, according to the Director General of the Hebron Endowments, Nidal Jaabari.In addition, the occupation forces tightened security measures near the mosque and around Hebron to secure the settlers’ arrival to the occupied city of Hebron and their celebration of the Jewish Sukkot holiday at the mosque and its yards.Jaabari explained that the occupation authorities are going to keep the Ibrahimi Mosque off limits to Palestinian Muslims until ten o’clock in the evening tomorrow, Tuesday, considering this a violation of the sanctity of the Mosque and a provocation to the Muslims, calling on the international community, the Islamic and Arab countries, and any related institution, particularly UNESCO, to implement the decisions regarding the dangers facing both the Ibrahimi Mosque and Al-Aqsa Mosque
in occupied Jerusalem.
