US President Joe Biden will travel to the UK and Ireland from April 11 – 14, the White House said Wednesday. The visit will commence in Belfast, Northern Ireland on April 11 – 12 to mark the tremendous progress since the signing of the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement 25 years ago, spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre said in a statement. The US will reiterate its support for Northern Ireland’s vast economic potential to the benefit of all communities, it said. Biden will then travel to Ireland on April 12 – 14, where he will discuss the close cooperation of the US and Ireland within current global challenges. Biden will hold various engagements in Dublin, County Louth and County Mayo, where he will deliver an address to celebrate the historic ties that link US and Ireland, according to the statement. Additional information about the trip will be forthcoming, it added.
