Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister and Acting Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar said the number of coronavirus cases declined since mid February until now.
He told an MBC program late Saturday that occupancy rates at hospitals over coronavirus infections went down.
He noted that about 52 percent of targeted segments were vaccinated, representing 33 million people.
He added that the national polio vaccination campaign will start on Sunday for three days.
