Above- average temperatures, snow in regions with 1500 m altitude

Temperatures will slightly rise to become above average in most regions as the country is affected by a superficial low pressure accompanied by southwestern air currents in the upper parts of the atmosphere.

Meteorological Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that the weather will be clear to partly cloudy in general while it will be cloudy during the noon hours over the coastal, northern and western regions, with a little chance for thundershowers, while snow will fall over areas with 1500 m altitude.

The winds will be easterly to southeasterly, moderate in speed with active gusts, and the sea waves will be moderate to high in amplitude.

The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus    16/6,  Homs 12/3, Lattakia 19/11, Aleppo 12/5, Tartous 20/9 and Deir Ezzor 16/5.
