Baghdad The National Security Adviser, Qassem Al-Araji, stressed today, Wednesday, during his meeting with the Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Baghdad, Peter Stepanek, the need to support the government’s measures to recover the looted funds and hand over the wanted persons.
The media office of Al-Araji said in a statement that during the meeting, they discussed strengthening Iraqi-Czech relations, and frameworks for joint cooperation in fields that serve the two friendly countries and peoples.
The Czech ambassador expressed “his country’s readiness to support the capabilities of the Iraqi security forces in the field of training and exchange of experiences,” noting that “the Iraqi forces have great experience in the field of combating terrorism, and can benefit from it through partnership and cooperation between the two countries in this field.”
For his part, Al-Araji stressed the need to support the Iraqi government’s measures to recover the looted funds and hand over the wanted persons, as well as the importance of benefiting from the exchange of experiences between the two countries, especially in the field of cybersecurity, and following up the sources of financing terrorism in all its forms, reaffirming that Iraq’s constant policy is openness, and the international community must seek to consolidate the security and stability of the region and the world through diplomacy and dialogue.
The Czech ambassador conveyed an invitation from the Czech National Security Adviser to Al-Araji to “visit the Czech Republic, in order to strengthen relations of cooperation and friendship between the two countries.”
