Istanbul, An earthquake measuring 4.2 degrees struck this evening, the district of “Gorun”, in the state of Sivas, in central Turkey.

According to information on the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management website “AFAD”, the earthquake occurred at 17:18 local time and was at a depth of 7 kilometers.

There was no immediate information about loss of life or property.
