Egypt, China FMs discuss boosting bilateral ties

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry discussed in a phone call on Friday with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi means of boosting bilateral ties in different fields.

During the phone conversation, the two top diplomats reviewed the existing coordination between Cairo and Beijing with regard to countering coronavirus, said Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Hafez.

In that context, Shoukry and Wang probed cooperation to jointly manufacture coronavirus vaccine in Egypt, the spokesman added.

They also talked in depth about the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) issue.
