Egypt elected as member of AACO executive committee

Chairman of EgyptAir Maintenance and Engineering Company Yehia Zakaria has been elected as member of the executive committee of the Arab Air Carriers Organization (AACO) for three years.

Zakaria’s election came in the 55th Annual General Meeting of AACO that was held in Abu Dhabi on October 24-26.

During the meeting, Zakaria said the recommendations of the AACO’s executive committee and general assembly this year came in line with global political and economic changes, as they prioritize the issues that currently matter airlines and air transport stakeholders, notably the lessons learned from the coronavirus pandemic and the use of digital technology in the airline industry, as well as the issues of sustainability and climate change that will be raised at the UN Climate Change Conference COP27, set for Sharm El-Sheikh next month.
