Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad reviewed on Tuesday 28/6/2022 a report on the efforts to develop the environmental sector in Egypt during the past 8 years under President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, within the framework of the political leadership’s directives to change the language of dialogue on the environment and restructure the environmental sector so that it is not limited to reducing pollution only, but aims to conserve natural resources and use them in a sustainable manner that preserves the right of future generations.

This sector has witnessed many achievements since President El-Sisi took control of matters, and this was evident in many environmental files.

The Ministry worked during the last period through three main axes: reducing pollution, sustainable management of waste, preserving natural resources and facing global environmental challenges, in addition to creating a supportive climate, whether at the level of legislation, policies, and institutional reform, which supports the green transformation of the various sectors in the country to achieve sustainable development.
