Egyptian officials had finished processes for getting Palestinian journalist Wael Al-Dahdouh out of Gaza in preparation for his journey abroad for treatment.

Khaled Al-Balshi, the head of the Egyptian Syndicate of Journalists, thanked all relevant Egyptian agencies for responding to the Syndicate’s plea to facilitate colleague Al-Dahdouh’s entry into Egypt for treatment.

Journalist Wael Al Dahdouh, Al Jazeera’s chief correspondent in the Gaza Strip, is slated to travel to Qatar to receive treatment for injuries sustained while being targeted previously by the Israeli occupation army.
