The national program for community, human and local development “Your Project” has contributed, during December 2021, to the implementation of 2,000 projects in the various Egyptian governorates, said Local Development Minister Mahmoud Shaarawi.
The total amount of loans offered to entrepreneurs within the program reached EGP 400 million, said the minister, noting that these small and medium-sized projects have contributed to generating about 20,000 jobs.
In a statement Saturday 29/01/2022, Shaarawi stressed that “Your Project” is the gateway for youth entrepreneurship to implement projects that help support the national economy.
He also pointed out to the important role played by his ministry in encouraging young people to participate in the Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs).
The minister explained that Minya governorate took the first place in the number of SMEs implemented since the beginning of the program, noting that about 22,000 projects have provided more than 136,000 jobs for locals.
