NIGSD, Germany’s Hertie School ink MoU in governance, sustainable development fields

The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD), the training arm of the Planning and Economic Development Ministry, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Germany’s Hertie School of Governance to enhance cooperation between both sides.

In a statement issued by the institute on Friday 11/03/2022, NIGSD Executive Director Sherifa Sherif said the MoU aims to boost cooperation between the sides in the fields of governance and sustainable development.

Under the MoU, the two sides are set to cooperate on building and developing human capabilities, training, research activities and consultation services through holding training sessions and workshops, according to the statement.

Both sides will exchange information and hold periodic meetings to follow up progress made in their cooperation, the statement added.
