Damascus, SANA- The People’s Assembly has affirmed Syria’s continued support for the Palestinian people until the full restoration of their legitimate rights.
That Assembly’s remarks came in a statement issued on the 115th anniversary of the ominous Balfour Declaration.
The statement read “This null and void declaration is a flagrant violation of the most basic values and standards of international law, and an explicit and clear attack on all rules related to the human rights legitimacy and the international humanitarian law.”
The Assembly considered that what is taking place today in Palestine is a reflection of the repercussions of this declaration that Britain gave to the world Zionist movement on November 2nd, 1917.
The statement stressed that the Palestinian cause has always been Syria’s first central issue, and this is what explains to the whole world the reasons behind the fierce aggressive terrorist attack, and the unjust unilateral economic measures imposed on Syria by some Western countries, on top of which the United States.
The statement affirmed the inevitability of victory and the restoration of all the occupied lands, and that what happened in Syria is closely related to the essence of this conflict, and falls within the existential battle with the Zionist enemy that occupies the Syrian Arab Golan.
