Planning minister partakes in forum of Women in UAE

Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala El-Said took part Monday in the inauguration session of “The Women in Government Forum” held on the sidelines of preparations for the World Government Summit (WGS2022) that will open in the UAE Tuesday.

The 2nd edition of the forum will bring together more than 100 female leaders and decision-makers from around the world to discuss women’s role at WGS and the necessity of empowering the next generation of women leaders inside governments.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, the gathering is meant to increase women’s participation in all government-related activities, along with incentivizing government’s to prepare a leading female generation, with a view to upping women’s opportunities in leading decision making, as well as top-governmental posts.

The forum will also shed light on women’s role in government and discuss how to fully-empower them to hold leading positions in the public sector; a key focus of the WGS.

The WGF 2022 will convene high-level government officials, including Arab ministers of civil service, in ministerial meetings, panel discussions and highlight on a report on the state of Arab administration drafted by top experts and based on interviews with 2,000 civil servants across the region.
