PM: GAFI offers all forms of support to enable startup expansion

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli participated Saturday 27/11/2021 in an event organized the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) to support innovative and promising startup ideas.

 

Accompanied by Executive Director of GAFI Mohamed Abdel Wahab, Madbouli inspected the pavilions of some projects owned by young entrepreneurs and talked to a number of startup representatives to get acquainted with their unique products and services.

 

Madbouli underscored the authority’s commitment to providing all forms of technical and administrative support to these startups, and addressing any challenges facing their future expansion, given their vital role in advancing development and fulfilling young people’s aspirations for innovation and knowledge.

 

Prominent among the pavilions the premier visited today are those of Tulima Farms in the agro-processing industry, Vortex Robotics, Biomix, and Seavo, Egypt’s first designer and manufacturer of environmentally friendly watercraft.

 

Madbouli also toured the pavilions of Banlastic – a social enterprise based in Alexandria that tackles the plastic pollution problem since 2018 -, Hand in Hand for prosthetic appliances, Nureab for medical robots and rehabilitation devices, and a fintech startup under the name of “Klickit”.
