Showers in most regions, snow expected over mountains

Temperatures will drop to become from 2 to 4 degrees below average as the country is affected by a low air pressure in all layers of the atmosphere.

The Meteorological Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that the weather will be cloudy to partly cloudy with a chance of rainfalls in most regions accompanied by thunder, particularly over coastal region and snow is also expected to fall over mountains.

The wind will be westerly to southwesterly with active gusts whose speed exceeds 90 Km/h and the sea waves will be high in amplitude.

The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 14 / 7, Homs 12 / 5, Tartous 17 / 12, Hama 13 / 6, Lattakia 16 / 12, Aleppo 13/ 4.
