Sisi arrived in the Sultanate of Oman on Monday where he was accorded a red-carpet reception by Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said and senior state officials.

During an expanded session of official talks he had with Sultan Haitham at “Al Alam” palace, the president commended the unity of vision and close coordination between the two sisterly countries toward all regional and international issues of mutual interest and thanked the Omani Sultan for his warm hospitality.

According to presidential spokesman Bassam Rady, at the beginning of the talks, which were attended by the two countries’ official delegations, Sultan Haitham lauded the history-honored, fraternal bonds between the two countries, expressing his appreciation for Egypt’s support to Oman at all levels and applauding the great contributions of the Egyptian expat community to the Sultanate’s development process.

He also asserted his desire to further boost bilateral cooperation and increase Omani investments in Egypt.
